Natural Nutrition and Nutritional Symptomatology Certification Course (HSC-NUT)

Introduction to Natural Nutrition (15 hours)

  • Natural nutrition acknowledges that the body functions best when it is nourished from whole, live and natural foods supplied by nature
  • Basics of nutrition (i.e. macro/micronutrients, the digestive system)
  • Environmental influences on food. Optimal food choices for energy and health
  • How nutrition affects the body at a cellular level
  • Types of diets — cultural, vegetarianism and animal proteins/fats

Nutritional Symptomatology (15 hours)

Nutritional symptomatology is the process of interpreting bodily symptoms to find underlying causes and nutritional imbalance:

  • Learning how to identify nutritional imbalances in the 11 body systems using the Nutri-Systems Profile (NSP)
  • Doing your own nutritional assessment and developing a specific nutritional plan for yourself and for others
  • Learning which specific nutrients your body requires from food, nutritional and herbal supplements
  • Using nutrition and the NSP to address digestive problems, allergies, candida, hypoglycemia, PMS, menopause and more

A certificate is issued for this course. Credit hours can be applied towards the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition’s Registered Nutritional Consultant training program.

Fee:  $395 if taken as part of Program, $505 + HST if taken as a single course


Full-time: starting Tues. Sept. 11, 2018 (various days) (9:30am-12:30 pm), 10 classes

Part-time: Dec. 8–9, 2018 and Jan. 5–6, 2019 (Sat. 9 am-5 pm) and (Sun. 10 am-5 pm), 2 weekends
