Ethics and Managing a BusinessBasic business skills are as important a part of a successful holistic practice as knowledge of the human body, treatment skills, and an understanding of human nature. This 18-hour course was created to give students the necessary information to open and maintain an independent practice in the field of holistic health.

Areas covered are:

  • Practitioner/client relationship
  • Ethics and boundaries in a professional practice
  • The Ontario Health Act
  • Exploring your belief system around business
  • Developing and holding your vision
  • Identifying appropriate clients for your practice
  • Developing a business plan — why? how? when?
  • Budgeting time and money
  • Marketing your business and running your practice
  • Money matters — pricing your services, deciding on a type of business, dealing with taxes, etc.

Fee:  $186 if taken as part of Program, $310 + HST if taken as a single course

F/T Ethics: Apr. 3, 4, 2017 (9:30 am-12:30 pm)

P/T Business: Tuesdays, starting Tues. May 9, 2017 (7pm -10 pm), 4 classes

P/T Ethics: Tuesdays, Tues. Nov. 21, 2017 (7pm -10 pm), 2 classes


P/T Ethics: Wednesdays, Wed. Dec. 12 & 19, 2018 (7pm -10 pm), 2 classes
