The Real Secret: The Spiritual Science of Alchemy (ESO-SG)

AlchemyThe Real Secret: The Spiritual Science of Alchemy and the Hermetic Principles

Referred to as “The Noble Art” in medieval times, Alchemy has been both exalted as the path of the wise and denigrated as the folly of the damned. Though it is more commonly known as the process through which to turn lead into gold, Alchemy in its pure form is the art of transformation on all levels. With its ancient beginnings shrouded in mystery and its most famous texts written in deliberately undecipherable language, Alchemy has proved time and again to warrant patience, dedication and not a bit of divine illumination in order to unlock her secrets. Such a task has been undertaken by illustrious alchemists such as Nicholas Flamel, Roger Bacon, Pope John XXII, and Sir Isaac Newton and was brought into the modern era through Carl Jung who considered alchemy analogous to the work of psychoanalysis.

This weekend course takes the student through the fascinating history of Alchemy, including its fall from scientific grace and presents its teachings through the particularly artistic and exquisite lens of alchemical symbolism.  Material in this course is ideal for esoteric seekers, spiritual psychotherapists, and anyone interested in the art of spiritual and personal transformation.
